Just jump in – have a go and have fun exploring social media. If I can do it – you can too. Just sign up for a Twitter account and start off looking, listening and then joining in the conversation. It has got me invited to the Downing Tweet Christmas Party by Sarah Brown in aid of the Million Mums White Ribbon Alliance Campaign at Number 10 and has really helped raise my profile as an expert in my field.How truly amazing is that for a kid from Streatham?

But it’s like any form of networking or connecting. It’s ALL about sincere relationships, being helpful, giving of your time,sharing others information and sharing your expertise while being sociable and honest.

I have met some truly wonderful people through Twitter – and have now met lots of them in real life too and I now work with some of them too (ie the fab Simon Jordan!)

It really won’t go away and so why not embrace it, explore and become curious and playful with it…. your business will soar, your influence will widen and you’ll have fun as well as increase your bottom line and if you, like me are on a mission to make a difference in the world it will help that too.
